Writing is a lonely business. You sit at a computer, day after day – often in your PJs, with unwashed hair and unbrushed teeth – wondering how on earth you can make your characters cooperate. When they do, it’s wondrous thing. On the days they refuse to play nice? Giving up is an extremely attractive option.
